Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention- 6 Week Basic Movements Sessions ($50 per person).  The 6-Week class starts October 26, 2021.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is a program created by Dr. Paul Lam and the Tai Chi for Health Institute to be a safe and enjoyable activity for individuals with and without arthritis to improve overall health.  Medical studies have shown the program to relieve pain for people with arthritis and improve their quality of life, as well as preventing falls.  Participants should have clearance from their health care provider before engaging in any exercise program.

Instructor Chris Pierce is certified in Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention.  Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays for 6-weeks.  Each week builds on moves from the previous class and regular attendance is encouraged.  Masking and social distancing guidelines will be followed. 

Equipment Needed: 

  • Comfortable clothes.
  • Approx. 6 feet of clear space
  • A chair or something to help with balance, or for rest optional
  • A notebook and a writing utensil to take notes optional
