Tai Chi for Beginners: The Yang Family 16 Movement Form
Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese martial art with origins dating back hundreds of years. Today, Tai Chi is often practiced by people all over the world for its wide-ranging health benefits. In this interactive class, we will introduce the basic concepts and postures of Yang Family Tai Chi. This course is ideal for individuals who are relatively new to the practice of Tai Chi. If you have never done Tai Chi before, we recommend starting with our Introductory Tai Chi class first! In our weekly Tai Chi for Beginners class, we will focus on body alignment, breathing and relaxation as we learn the 16 Movement form and related exercises. All ages and abilities are welcome to join this course! Modifications can easily be made for individuals who have mobility restrictions.
NOTE: This class will not be meeting on 12/24/20 and 12/31/20 for the holidays. We will resume class on 1/7/21. See you in the new year!

Equipment Needed:
- Comfortable clothes.
- Approx. 6 feet of clear space
- A chair or something to help with balance, or for rest optional
- A notebook and a writing utensil to take notes optional
