Geriatric Medicine Fellowship

The University of Louisville Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program is a one-year, post-graduate education program for physicians who have completed a residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. This program is housed in the Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine and is closely affiliated with the University of Louisville's Institute for Sustainable Health & Optimal Aging. This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Grade Medical Education.

Fellows are prepared for a wide range of career opportunities through placements in diverse clinical environments, including the UofL Hospital, Jewish Hospital, Frazier Rehab Institute, and the VA Medical Center. Fellows gain expertise in acute care, subacute rehab, long-term care, outpatient clinic, and home care. This program has a strong interdisciplinary approach that trains fellows to be both geriatricians as well as community leaders and change innovators.

Program specifics and application instructions are located on the UofL Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program website.
